ECHL announces fine, suspension

The ECHL on Tuesday announced that Brampton’s Mathieu Gagnon has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #I-3, Brampton at Manchester, on May 1.

Gagnon is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his game misconduct for aggressor under Rule #46.2 and for his continuous actions at 13:53 of the third period.

Gagnon will miss Brampton’s next three games.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
