The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fine and suspensions.
Colorado’s Geertsen suspended
Colorado’s Mason Geertsen has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #L-4, Allen at Colorado, on May 4.
Geertsen receives an automatic one-game suspension under Rule #44.22 as a result of receiving a game misconduct for aggressor under Rule #46.2 in the final five minutes of regulation.
Geertsen will miss Colorado’s playoff game against Allen tomorrow (May 7).
Colorado's Belzile fined, suspended
Colorado’s Alex Belizile has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #L-4, Allen at Colorado, on May 4.
Belzile is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of a cross-checking incident at 13:14 of the third period.
Belzile will miss Colorado’s next two games.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Allen’s Moore suspended one additional game
Allen’s Bryan Moore has been suspended for one additional game as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #L-3, Allen at Colorado, on May 3.
Moore is suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions off of the playing surface following the game.
Moore missed Allen’s playoff game at Colorado on May 4 and will miss the game tomorrow (May 7).
