Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced that the club has signed defenseman Mike Gunn to a contract for the 2017-18 season.
The 25-year old native of Livonia, Mich. returns to the Americans for a third season. He was acquired from Wheeling in a trade in 2015.
Gunn played in 61 games for the Americans last year, adding 14 points (1g-13a) and 102 penalty minutes while finishing a +20 for the season. He’ll begin his fourth year as a professional this October.
