Howe agrees to terms with Grizzlies

West Valley City, Utah – Utah Grizzlies Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham announced that the team has re-signed forward Travis Howe for the 2017-18 season.

The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League and the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League.

Howe, 23, returns for his second season in Utah after finishing second in the ECHL with 22 fighting majors and fourth with 234 penalty minutes during the 2016-17 season. He had two goals - both game-winning goals - and two assists in 50  games played.

The Massachusetts native made last year’s team on a training camp invite and finished with the third most penalty minutes since the team joined the ECHL in 2005 and the ninth most in the 23-season history of the organization.
