RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, announced that veteran forward Kenton Miller has been signed for the 2017-18 season.
Miller comes to the Rush after skating the vast majority of last season with the Elmira Jackals. He started the campaign with the Wheeling Nailers and registered two points (1g-1a) in eight games before heading to the Jackals where he recorded 45 points (30g-15a) in 63 games. It marked the second time in his five seasons as a pro that he reached 30 goals or more in a single campaign.
Originally from Redvers, Saskatchewan, Miller enters his sixth season as a professional in a career that has seen him play in 319 career games, 255 of which have been played in the ECHL with Elmira, Wheeling, Wichita, Fort Wayne and Utah, where he’s recorded 144 points (70g-74a). He also has 11 games of AHL experience with the Chicago Wolves, Manchester Monarchs and Ontario Reign. Prior to playing professionally, the 26-year old played 244 games of major-junior hockey with the WHL’s Spokane Chiefs, Calgary Hitmen and Moose Jaw Warriors over the span of four seasons.
