Heard's late goal gives Florida 4-3 win in Game 2

Mitchell Heard's goal with 36 seconds remaining in regulation lifted the Florida Everblades to a 4-3 win over the Colorado Eagles in Game 2 of the 2018 Kelly Cup Finals on Sunday at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado. The best-of-seven series is even at one game a piece.

Colorado took a 1-0 lead 17:09 into the first period on a Jake Marto power-play goal only to see Florida answer with a power-play tally of its own from Sam Warning at 2:01 of the second period. The Everblades took their first lead of the series on a power-play goal from Matt Mackenzie 7:11 into the middle frame. The fourth straight man-advantage goal of the night from the Eagles' J.C. Beaudin tied the game at 2 at the 15:37 mark of the second period.

Marto gave the Eagles a 3-2 lead with his second goal of the night 5:24 into the third period as he snapped a shot home from the right-wing circle. But, the Everblades struck back to quickly to tie the game just 55 seconds later when Stephen MacAulay redirected a Zack Kamrass shot past Colorado goaltender Joe Cannata.

The series shifts to Florida for the next three games with Game 3 set for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET from Germain Arena. Catch all of the action LIVE on ECHL.TV.
