Eagles force Game 7

The Colorado Eagles forced a seventh and deciding game in the 2018 Kelly Cup Finals with a 4-2 win over the Florida Everblades on Wednesday in Game 6 at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado.

It will be just the fifth time in the ECHL's 30-year history that the Finals will be decided in a Game 7 (1989, 1999, 2009, 2015, 2018).

Colorado led 2-1 after 20 minutes of play on goals from Ryan Harrison and Michael Joly sandwiched around a Joe Cox tally for Florida.

Jake Marto extended the Eagles' lead to 3-1 at the 8:13 mark of the second period as he skated deep into the Florida zone and beat Martin Ouellette with a back-hander from the right-wing circle. Joly added an empty-net tally with 1:21 remaining in regulation to make it 4-1 and Florida's Justin Kea set the final with a tally with 33 seconds left.

The 2018 Kelly Cup champion will be decided in Game 7 on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET at Florida. Catch all of the action LIVE on ECHL.TV.
