Kile is first to sign with Mariners

Portland, Maine – The Maine Mariners have made another mark in history with the team's first player signing. Alex Kile has the honor of becoming the first Maine Mariner to sign an ECHL contract to start the 2018-19 season.

Kile, a forward from Troy, Michigan, joins the Mariners after spending last season with the Cincinnati Cyclones, where he notched 28 points (15g-13a) in 46 games.

Prior to turning pro, Kile enjoyed a four-year career with the University of Michigan where he notched 80 points (40g-40a) in 130 games. Kile served as captain as a senior for the Wolverines during the 2016-17 season
