Grizzlies acquire Berry from Florida

Grizzlies acquire Berry from Florida

West Valley City, Utah – Utah Grizzlies Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham announced that the team has acquired forward Matt Berry from the Florida Everblades in exchange for future considerations.

The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League and the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League.

Berry returns to Utah where he had 37 points (16g-21a) in 38 games during his rookie season in 2015-16 while under contract with the Anaheim Ducks organization.

The Michigan State product had 38 points (14g-24a) in 42 games with the Everblades in 2017-18 and has 143 points (54g-89a) in 150 career ECHL games. He has added 22 points (10g-12a) in 24 career playoff games.
