WHEELING, W.Va. - The Wheeling Nailers, ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, announced the team has signed defenseman Aaron Titcomb to a contract for the 2018-19 season.
Titcomb, 25, got his first taste of professional hockey at the end of this past season, when he suited up with the Adirondack Thunder. He appeared in two games for Adirondack, notching an assist in each contest, as the Thunder won both matches to lock up first place in the North Division.
Prior to turning pro, the Charlestown, Massachusetts native played four years of college hockey at Merrimack College under new Nailers' Head Coach Mark Dennehy. Titcomb was an anchor on the blueline for the Warriors, playing a more defensive role, as he totaled 14 points in 102 career games. His most productive year came during his sophomore season, when he collected nine points, while posting a +5 rating.
