Worcester, Mass. – The Worcester Railers Hockey Club, ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, announced that the club has signed defenseman Tommy Panico to a contract for the 2018-19 season.
The 23-year-old Wall, New Jersey native returns to the Railers after making his professional debut with the team in the 2017-18 season, upon completion of his four-season career at UMass-Lowell. The defenseman appeared in nine regular-season games and five playoff games in his professional debut for the Railers. During the 2017-18 season, Panico received a call-up to the Iowa Wild of the AHL, in which he appeared in one game.
