Reading, Pa. – The Reading Royals, ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, signed defenseman Adam Larkin to a contract for the 2018-19 season.
Larkin played the final two games of the 2017-18 regular season with the Royals after claiming him off waivers from Adirondack on April 3. He scored two points (1g-1a) with the Thunder in his first seven professional games. He finished his hockey career at Yale in March 2017.
Larkin finished his senior season at Yale in March and totaled seven points (1g-6a) over 31 games. He made his professional debut with the Thunder on March 9 vs. Manchester and earned his first professional goal and multi-point game March 16 vs. Fort Wayne.
In 2016-17, the Clarkston, Michigan native posted his best NCAA offensive numbers with 14 points (3g-11a) to lead the Yale blue line in scoring. Over four seasons with the Bulldogs, he earned 31 points (5g-26a) in 126 games.
Prior to his collegiate career, Larkin skated for the United States Hockey League’s Muskegon Lumberjacks in 2013-14. He is the older brother of Miami University goaltender Ryan Larkin. Adam’s cousin, Dylan, is a forward for the Detroit Red Wings.
