Glens Falls, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils, announced that the team has signed forward Conor Riley to a contract for the 2018-19 season.
Riley, 25, returns to Adirondack after completing his second full professional year in 2017-18, finishing the campaign with 19 points (5g-14a) and 44 penalty minutes in 58 regular-season games. The Massena, New York native skated an additional 13 games throughout the Kelly Cup Playoffs, registering four points. While traditionally a defenseman, Riley has appeared in games both as a blueliner and a forward throughout his Thunder career, which spans from the tail end of the 2015-16 season when he saw action in a pair of games.
Prior to turning pro, Riley skated four seasons at the University of Maine where he played in 145 games, while recording 22 points (4g-18a) and 113 penalty minutes. Riley missed only one game over the course of his final three seasons of Hockey East action.
