Reading, Pa. – The Reading Royals and forward Brendan Robbins have agreed to terms on a contract for the 2019-20 season.
The Royals are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers and the American Hockey League's Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
A University of Maine graduate, Robbins tied for second on the Black Bears in 2018-19 with nine goals in 36 games. He missed one game over his final two seasons on campus. As a junior, the Nashua, New Hampshire native finished with 21 points (11g-10a), the best offensive numbers of his collegiate career. Robbins scored 65 points (30g-35a) in 143 career NCAA games at Maine.Prior to his NCAA career, he skated for the USPHL’s Islanders Hockey Club and scored a team-best 44 points (18g) in 2014-15.Robbins has played one professional game; he agreed to an Amateur Tryout with the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds after concluding his senior season at Maine.
