INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Kansas City Mavericks announced the club has signed defenseman Cole Candella to a contract for the 2020-21 season.
Candella, a native of Mississauga, Ontario, spent last season with the Odense Bulldogs of Metal Ligaen, the premier hockey league in Denmark. In 48 games with the Bulldogs, Candella stacked up 18 points (3g-15a). The 22-year-old was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the fifth round (140st overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
