PORTLAND, Maine – The Maine Mariners, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins and American Hockey League's Providence Bruins, have announced the re-signing of forward Linus Hemstrom for the 2026-27 season.
Hemstrom spent his first full season in Maine in 2025-26, and appeared in 69 of the 72 regular season games, and an additional 12 playoff contests. He scored 35 points (13g-22a) in the regular season, good for sixth on the team in scoring. It was a significant increase in offensive output from his rookie season, when he posted 14 points in 55 games between the Mariners and Bloomington Bison.
The 22-year-old first joined the Mariners in a future considerations trade with Bloomington in February of 2025, before re-signing for the 2025-26 season. Prior to turning pro, he spent two seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, with the Kingston Frontenacs. He’s also played internationally for Team Sweden’s U20 team.
