Hamilton agrees to terms with Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita Thunder announced the signing of defenseman Jake Hamilton for the 2022-23 season. 

Hamilton comes to Wichita after posting six points (3g-3a) in 33 games with Adirondack last season. He began last season with Peoria of the Southern Professional Hockey League before signing with the Thunder.

The 26-year-old returned to action last year after not playing in the 2020-21 season. He turned pro in 2018-19, appearing in 44 games for the Rivermen and enjoying best offensive season with 16 points (4g-12a). In 2019-20, he started the year with Peoria before seeing ECHL action with both the Jacksonville Icemen and Kansas City Mavericks. 

Prior to turning pro, the O'Fallon, Missouri native played two seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Superior where he had eight points (4g-4a) in 54 career games.
