TULSA, Okla.— The Tulsa Oilers, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Anaheim Ducks and American Hockey League’s San Diego Gulls, announced the signings of forward Connor Bramwell and defenseman Justin Bean.
Bramwell, 24, returns to Tulsa after playing three regular-season games for the Oilers in 2021-22 after completing his college career with the University of Guelph. The Hamilton, Ontario native compiled 64 points (25g-39a) in 56 career collegiate games, receiving a Usports National Championship and First All-Star Team honors during his three-year career.
Prior to college, Bramwell produced 116 points (52G, 64A) in 168 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League games with Blainville-Boisbrand and Drummondville. Bramwell also played 46 games in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, notching 43 points (23g-20a) with Caledonia, winning the 2014-15 title in his one season in the league.
Bean, 26, joins the Oilers for his first season in Tulsa, after splitting his rookie season with Cincinnati and Wichita. He began his pro career with the Cyclones, registering nine assists in 30 games. In total, Bean finished his rookie season with 10 assists in 38 games.
Prior to turning pro, Bean spent four seasons with York University, logging 37 points (10g-27a) in 77 games at the Canadian college level. A native of Markham, Ontario, Bean played 110 games in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, contributing 82 points (27g-55a) in 110 games with the Wellington Dukes. He also spent time in the Ontario Hockey League with Belleville and Mississauga, snagging 12 points (1g-11a) in 76 games with the Bulls and Steelheads.
