Toledo, Ohio – Forward Mitchell Heard has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2022-23 season.Heard returns to the Walleye after posting 49 points (23g-26a) in 49 games during the 2021-22 regular season. He added another 12 points (2g-10a) over 21 playoff contests. Heard first joined the Walleye in late December last year after starting the season overseas. He had been in the DEL since the start of the 2018-19 season where he totaled 63 points (21g-42a) in 113 games.In the ECHL, the native of Newcastle, Ontario has picked up 177 points (76g-101a) in 168 games over five seasons with Toledo, Florida, Adirondack and Fort Wayne.The 30-year-old has also skated in parts of six seasons in the American Hockey League with Charlotte, Stockton and Lake Erie, combining for 39 points (14g-25a) in 199 games. Prior to turning professional, Heard spent four years in the Ontario Hockey League with Plymouth totaling 144 points (67g-77a) in 171 contests.
