Alex Loh named first head coach in Knight Monsters history

The Tahoe Knight Monsters have hired Alex Loh as the team's first head coach. Loh heads to Tahoe after spending the previous two seasons on the coaching staff of the Savannah Ghost Pirates. The 39-year-old was hired as an assistant coach prior to the Ghost Pirates' inaugural season in 2022-23, and served as the club's interim head coach for the final 31 games of the 2023-24 season, leading the team to a 16-12-3 record.

Prior to joining Savannah, the Morrisville, Vermont native served as the head coach of the Adirondack Thunder for three seasons from 2019-22. Loh initially joined the Thunder in 2015 as the club’s assistant coach before being promoted to associate coach in 2017. His first coaching job in professional hockey came in 2012 when the American Hockey League’s Portland Pirates hired him as the club’s video coach.
