Cyclones re-sign Portillo

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced that the team has signed forward Justin Portillo for the 2025-26 season. 

Portillo, 33, began last season with Athens of the Federal Prospects Hockey League before signing with the Cyclones in February. The Toledo, Ohio native appeared in 19 games for Cincinnati during the 2024-25 season, recording 43 penalty minutes.

Prior to his time in Cincinnati, Portillo split time between the FPHL and SPHL across five seasons. His first stint in the ECHL came with the Kansas City Mavericks in 2021-22 when he appeared in 11 games.
