Icemen bring back Bouquot

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Icemen, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild and the American Hockey League’s Iowa Wild, announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Jacques Bouquot for the 2026-27 season.

Bouquot, 26, was acquired by the Icemen last season in a multi-player trade on Feb. 23 with the Toledo Walleye. Bouquot played 21 games for Jacksonville, earning six points (1g-5a). The Columbus, Ohio native ended the 2025-26 campaign with 18 points (4g-14a) between thee Walleye and Icemen.

Now entering his fourth professional season, Bouquot has 30 points (6g-24a) in 78 career ECHL games with Jacksonville, Toledo and Reading, while also playing one game in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Before starting his professional career, Bouquot played five years of college hockey. Four of those seasons were with the University of Vermont (2019-23), where he spent his last season as the Catamounts’ captain before transferring to Penn State University for his final season of eligibility. In 143 games at the collegiate level, Bouquot garnered 77 points (29g-48a).
