NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Washington Capitals and American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears, announced that defenseman Romain Rodzinski has agreed to terms for the 2025-26 season.

Rodzinski, 24, joined the Stingrays in February 2025 following a trade with the Idaho Steelheads and quickly emerged as a key piece of the back end of the Stingrays, who finished number one in the ECHL with the fewest goals against. In March, Rodzinski was honored as the ECHL Plus Performer of the Month, leading the ECHL with a +24 rating over 14 games. He appeared in 46 games with Idaho and South Carolina and finished the season with 24 points (8g-16a) and a +28 rating.

Before turning pro, Rodzinski played several seasons in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League with the Québec Remparts, Cape Breton Eagles and Chicoutimi Saguenéens. During his final stretch in the QMJHL with Chicoutimi in 2022-23, Rodzinski collected 22 points (6g-16a) in 28 games.
