Knight Monsters bring back McGrew

STATELINE, Nev. – The Tahoe Knight Monsters, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vegas Golden Knights and the American Hockey League’s Henderson Silver Knights, announced that Jake McGrew has re-signed with the team for his third season in Tahoe.  

A product of Orange, California, McGrew has recorded 78 points (41g-7a) in 132 games over the previous two seasons with the Knight Monsters. Last season, he set a career-high with 22 goals.

Prior to joining the Knight Monsters, McGrew played two seasons in Sweden, and previously played in the ECHL for the Orlando Solar Bears and Allen Americans.

A sixth-round selection (159th overall) by the San Jose Sharks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, McGrew appeared in 84 games for the Sharks’ AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda, where he tallied 30 points (16g-14a).
