Cyclones re-sign Trott

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced that forward Zack Trott has re-signed for the 2026-27 season.

Trott, 26, re-signs with the Cyclones after recording 22 points (8g-14a) in 44 games played during his first season with the Cyclones. Despite a strong start to his rookie campaign, Trott suffered a lower body injury that sidelined him for the rest of the season. The product of Honeywood, Ontario was originally acquired from the Kansas City Mavericks on Oct. 15, 2025 in exchange for future considerations.

He originally signed with the Mavericks after finishing his collegiate career with St. Xavier Francis University, where he played four seasons. Over the course of his collegiate career, Trott recorded 101 points (34g-67a in 106 games, and being named a Second-Team USports All-Star in his final college season.
