Cincinnati, Ohio - Cincinnati Cyclones Head Coach Matt Macdonald has announced that forward Nick Huard has signed a contract for the 2016-17 season. This season will mark his second full campaign with the Cyclones.
The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals.
A native of North Bay, Ontario, Huard is coming off an impactful rookie campaign with the Cyclones, ranking fourth on the team, and sixth in league rooking scoring with 52 points (21g-31a) in 72 games. The 25-year-old also saw tremendous success on the power play last season, leading the ECHL in power-play goals (15) and finishing tied for second in power-play points (24).
Huard accounted for point streaks of four or more games five times last season, including a pair of career-long six-game streaks from Nov. 7-17 and Feb. 10-20. He also enjoyed multi-point efforts on 14 different occasions, including career-high three point nights on Dec. 4 (2g-1a) and March 31 (1g-2a).
