Tulsa, Okla. - The Tulsa Oilers, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Anaheim Ducks and the American Hockey League’s San Diego Gulls, announced the addition of defenseman Caleb Huffman, who joins Tulsa after an impressive playoff performance, claiming an SPHL championship in 2026.
Huffman finished the final five games of the 2025-26 regular season with the Evansville Thunderbolts of the SPHL, after being traded from the Macon Mayhem in exchange for forward Cooper Fensterstock. The late addition to the Thunderbolts left Macon after putting up nine points (4g-5a) in 26 games. The 24-year-old went on to produce one assist in the final five regular-season games with Evansville and four points (1g-3a) in 12 playoff games to help the Thunderbolts capture an SPHL President’s Cup in a best-of-five series, after trailing 2-0 and winning three straight over the Peoria Rivermen.
Prior to his first full professional season, Huff,an spent six games with the Wichita Thunder in the 2024-25 season.
Before becoming pro, the Fairbanks, Alaska native played with Simon Fraser University, stacking up 16 points (3g-13a) in 20 games. He began his college career at the University of Alaska-Anchorage, where he suited up in 42 games in the NCAA.
