ECHL announces fine, suspension

The ECHL on Friday announced that Allen’s David Makowski has been suspended for six games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #857, Allen at Missouri, on March 22.

Makowski is suspended for three games as a result of his major penalty for cross checking and three games for his game misconduct for physical abuse of officials at 17:16 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Makowski will miss Allen’s games vs. Tulsa (March 24 and March 25), vs. Missouri (March 29 and March 30), vs. Tulsa (April 1) and vs. Wichita (April 5).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
