West Valley City, Utah – Utah Grizzlies Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham announced that the team has signed defenseman Nolan DeJong.
The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Colorado Avalanche and the American Hockey League's Colorado Eagles.
DeJong, 22, split his rookie season in 2017-18 between the Eagles and the Avalanche's former AHL affiliate in San Antonio. He had seven points (2g-5a) in 50 games with the Eagles.
A seventh-round selection by the Minnesota Wild in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, DeJong served as captain during his senior season at the University of Michigan in 2016-17.
