ESTERO, Fla. – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced that the team has agreed to terms with forwards Brennan Saulnier and Grant Arnold for the 2018-19 season.
The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes and the American Hockey League's Charlotte Checkers.
Saulnier, 24, collected 15 points (8g-7a) with 121 penalty minutes during his senior season at the University of Alabama-Huntsville last season. In addition, he made his professional debut last spring making three appearances with the Atlanta Gladiators. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native accumulated 56 points (21g-35a) and 351 penalty minutes during his four-year collegiate career with the Chargers from 2014-18.
Arnold, 27, recorded 25 points (9g-16a) in 64 games with the Quad City Mallards during the 2016-17 season. He logged 34 points (10g-24a) during his four seasons at the University of Denver from 2012-16. Arnold captained the Pioneers during his junior and senior seasons. The Centennial, Colorado native registered 49 points (21g-28a) in his three seasons with the Green Bay Gamblers from 2009-12.
