Railers sign forward Gould

Worcester, Mass. – The Worcester Railers Hockey Club, ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, announced that the club has signed forward Malcolm Gould to a contract for the 2018-19 season.

Gould joins the Railers after a strong performance with the Dundee Stars of the Elite Ice Hockey League last season, where he put up 38 points (14g-24a) in 55 games. Prior to joining the Stars, the 25-year-old spent a season in France playing for Strasbourg of Ligue Magnus. While with Strasbourg, Gould compiled 23 points (12g-11a) in 27 games.

The North Vancouver, British Columbia native spent four seasons of college hockey at Michigan Tech where he recorded 75 points (32g-43a) in 123 games. He had a standout year his junior season posting 31 points (14g-17a) in 37 games. He was named to the WCHA Second All-Star Team in 2014-15 and the Third All-Star Team in 2015-16.

Before joining the Huskies, Gould played three seasons in the British Columbia Hockey League where he posted 103 points (50g-53a) in 118 games.
