ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears have agreed to terms with rookie forward Ryan Lough for the 2018-19 season.
Lough will begin his first full season of professional hockey after scoring a goal in his one-game debut with the Manchester Monarchs at the conclusion of the 2017-18 season. He joined the Monarchs after finishing his senior season at St. Lawrence University, where he served as an alternate captain and recorded 14 points (6g-8a) and 33 penalty minutes in 37 games.
The 25-year-old has spent the summer playing for the Sydney Bears of the Australian Ice Hockey League, and has generated 27 points (12g-15a) and 12 penalty minutes in 15 games.
In 142 career games for the Saints program, Lough notched 48 points (16g-32a) and 71 penalty minutes.
The native of Manotick, Ontario also played one season in the United States Hockey League in 2013-14, captaining the Green Bay Gamblers while amassing 42 points (19g-23a) and 27 penalty minutes in 60 games.
