Thompson returns to Adirondack

Glens Falls, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League, announced that the team has signed defenseman Blake Thompson to a contract for the 2018-19 season.

Thompson returns to the Thunder after finishing the 2017-18 season in Glens Falls. The 25-year-old appeared in 44 regular-season games for Adirondack, posting seven points (1g-6a) and 29 penalty minutes. Thompson added four points (1g-3a) in 10 games throughout the Thunder’s postseason run.

The Listowel, Ontario native has experience across the league after appearing in 13 games for the Orlando Solar Bears and Cincinnati Cyclones over the past two seasons. Prior to turning pro, Thompson played four years at St. Norbert College where he registered 73 points (19g-54a) and 170 penalty minutes over 112 games played for the Green Knights.
