Alexis D’Aoust of the Jacksonville Icemen is the Inglasco ECHL Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 22-28.
D’Aoust scored three goals, added four assists and was a +5 in three games last week as the Icemen improved to an ECHL-best 5-0-0 on the season.
The 22-year-old notched an assist in a 3-2 win against Atlanta on Thursday, tallied a goal and two assists in a 4-2 victory over Greenville on Friday and posted two goals and an assist in a 5-1 win at Greenville on Sunday.
A native of Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, D’Aoust is tied for third in the ECHL with 12 points (6g-6a) in five games this season.
Under contract with Manitoba of the American Hockey League, D’Aoust had 21 points (10g-11a) in 57 games with Utica of the AHL last season.
Prior to turning pro, he recorded 241 points (113g-128a) in 299 career games with Shawinigan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
On behalf of Alexis D’Aoust, a case of pucks will be donated to a Jacksonville youth hockey organization by Inglasco, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Inglasco has donated more than 39,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
