BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Bloomington Bison announced that defenseman Nikita Sedov has agreed to terms for the 2026-27 season.
Sedov set Bison records in all offensive categories for defensemen during the 2025-26 campaign while earning a spot on the All-ECHL Second Team and serving as an alternate captain. The Nizhnevartovsk, Russia, native led Bloomington in assists (46) and points (59) last season, both of which were individual single-season records for the club.
The 25-year-old joined the Bison after playing parts of five seasons in Russia, splitting time between the KHL and the VHL. He amassed 42 points (7g-35a) in 214 career KHL games and was an alternate captain for Severstal Cherepovets during the 2023-24 campaign.
Prior to joining the pro ranks, he played two seasons with the Western Hockey League’s Regina Pats. He was also an alternate captain in Regina and produced 34 points (5g-29a) in 126 career games.
