Wheeling Nailers’ forward Cam Brown has been named the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for December.
Brown scored seven goals, assisted on 19 others and was a +14 in 13 games during the month.
The 25-year-old, who earned two ECHL Player of the Week awards during December, had at least one point in 12 of his 13 games, ending the month on a 12-game point streak. Brown had nine multi-point games in December, including a pair of four-point games. He had four assists in a 5-1 win against Indy on Dec. 9 and posted two goals and two assists in a 5-1 victory over Norfolk on Dec. 15.
A native of Natick, Massachusetts, Brown is tied for eighth in the ECHL with 34 points (8g-26a) in 30 games this season. He has also appeared in one game with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
Brown has tallied 94 points (27g-67a) in 94 career ECHL games with Wheeling and Adirondack.
Prior to turning pro, Brown tallied 106 points (23g-83a) in 146 career games at the University of Maine.
