The Toledo Walleye advanced to the Central Division Finals in the 2019 Kelly Cup Playoffs presented by SmileDirectClub with a 4-1 over the Fort Wayne Komets on Wednesday in Game 6 of the Division Semifinals.
Toledo will meet Buckeye State rival Cincinnati, a 4 games to 2 winner over Kalamazoo, in the second round.
Dylan Sadowy broke a 1-1 tie with his second goal of the series 3:57 into the third period to give the Walleye the lead for good before adding an insurance tally at 12:44 and completing his hat trick with an empty-net goal at 18:38.
Sadowy led Toledo in the series with eight points (4g-4a) while Pat Nagle went 4-2 with a 1.60 goals-against average and a save percentage of .940.
The Komets were led by Brady Shaw, who had three goals and five points.
