Cincinnati, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones have signed forward Darik Angelito a contract for the 2019-20 season.
The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Buffalo Sabres and the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans.
Hailing from Lakewood, Colorado, Angeli appeared in 62 games for the Norfolk Admirals last season, ranking fourth in the team in scoring with 36 points (13g-23a). Angeli also saw action in four games in the AHL with the Tucson Roadrunners, dishing out an assist in that time. He split the 2017-18 campaign between the Admirals and Rapid City Rush, totaling 49 points (24g-25a) in 67 total games.
Entering his fifth year as a pro, Angeli has skated in 239 ECHL games, suiting up for the Manchester Monarchs and Colorado Eagles in addition to the Admirals and Rush. In that time, he has accounted for 128 points (56g-72a). He has also appeared in 15 AHL games, totaling four points (1g-3a).
Prior to turning pro in 2015, Angeli enjoyed a four-year collegiate career at Ohio State University where he amassed 45 points (25g-20a) in 128 games. He also spent two seasons in the United States Hockey League, splitting time between the Chicago Steel, Sioux City Musketeers and Tri-City Storm, amassing 52 points (26g-26a) in 117 USHL contests.
