BOISE, Idaho – Forward Spencer Naas has agreed to terms with the Idaho Steelheads for the 2019-20 season, joining the organization for his second full professional season.
The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars and the American Hockey League's Texas Stars.
Naas played 55 games with the Steelheads in his rookie season, posting 27 points (18g-9s). The St. Louis Park, Minnesota native also appeared in 10 games with Texas.
The 24-year-old made his professional debut with the AHL's Cleveland Monsters following his final collegiate season in 2017-18, boasting seven points (4g-3a) in 12 games. Naas played four seasons at the University of Connecticut where he was a two-year alternate captain and led the Huskies in goals during his senior season. He also owns the second-most goals by a rookie in Huskies history and was named a 2018 Hockey East Honorable Mention. He garnered 77 points (49g-28a) through 143 games in his collegiate career.
