RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Arizona Coyotes, announced that second-year defenseman Myles McGurty has re-signed with the team for the 2019-20 season.
McGurty came to the Rush as a part of the trade deadline deals made in March of last season, arriving to the team from the Orlando Solar Bears. He began his professional career last season in Erste Liga in Europe with Fehervari Titanok, earning two assists in five games before heading to Orlando, where he earned three assists in 14 games. He joined the Rush for the final 11 games of the season and provided one assist.
Prior to playing professionally, the Weehawken, New Jersey native jumped around the Canadian college and junior ranks, playing with Dalhousie University in USports, the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the United States Hockey League and the Moncton Wildcats, Acadie-Bathurst Titan and Chicoutimi Sangueneens in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
