TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Oilers, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s St. Louis Blues, announced the signing of forward Alex Kromm.
Kromm returns to the Oilers after a career-best season in 2018-19, registering career highs in goals (8), assists (12), points (24), penalty minutes (90), games played (62) and plus-minus (12).
The 27-year-old finished second on the Tulsa roster in penalty minutes and fifth among all Oilers' forwards in plus-minus. Kromm also appeared in six postseason games on the Oilers march to the Western Conference Finals.
Prior to arriving in Tulsa, Kromm spent time with the Rapid City Rush and Wheeling Nailers, playing in 68 games between the two teams. Kromm also played 39 games in the Southern Professional Hockey League for the Columbus Cottonmouths.
The Penticton, British Columbia native played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, compiling 48 points (19g-29a) in 111 games for the Pointers. Kromm capped off his college career with a Division III National Championship his senior season.
