Americans welcome back VanWormer

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, announced that the team has re-signed forward Jared VanWormer.

A native of Traverse City, Michigan, VanWormer had 37 points (22g-15a) in 54 games with the Americans last season with the Americans. He also played in six games in the American Hockey League with the Cleveland Monsters. In total, he has appeared in 16 career AHL games with Cleveland, Stockton, Milwaukee and Colorado.

VanWormer played his college hockey at Ferris State University, where he put up 60 points in 136 games over four years. The Americans' captain in 2019-20, he also played parts of three seasons of junior hockey with the Traverse City North Stars, of the North American Hockey League.
