DiChiara returns to Royals

Reading, Pa. – The Reading Royals, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers and American Hockey League's Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have re-signed forward Frank DiChiara to a contract for the 2020-21 season.

DiChiara led the 2019-20 Royals in goals (22), assists (37) and points (59). His 59 points were 11th in the ECHL. He also topped the Royals in multi-point games with 17 and was tied for the team lead with seven power-play goals. DiChiara has improved his goals and points totals in each of his three professional seasons and he is one of just 18 players to scored 100 or more career points with Reading through the Royals first 19 seasons.

Prior to turning pro, DiChiara tallied 72 points (30g-42a) in 127 career games at Yale University and scored the Clark Cup championship-clinching goal for Dubuque of the United States Hockey League in 2013.
