Mavericks add rookie defenseman Cook

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Kansas City Mavericks announced the club has signed defenseman Ryan Cook to a contract for the 2020-21 season.

Cook, a native of Lancaster, New York joins Kansas City after completing his collegiate career at Niagara University last season. In 26 games with the Purple Eagles, Cook had five points (3g-2a) and a +4 rating.

Before transferring to Niagara for his senior year, Cook spent three seasons at Merrimack College, where he tallied eight points (3g-5a) in 73 games.
