Merchant returns to Steelheads

BOISE, Idaho – Forward Will Merchant has agreed to terms with the Idaho Steelheads for the 2020-21 season.

Merchant played in all 61 games with the Steelheads during the 2019-20 season, posting 37 points (18g-18a). The Eagan, Minnesota native will be entering his fifth season with Idaho.

The 26-year-old made his debut with Idaho in the 2016-17 season and has played with the Steelheads in each of his four seasons during his professional career. Through 230 games in a Steelheads' uniform, Merchant has tallied 142 points (61g-81a).

Prior to joining the Steelheads, Merchant played four seasons with the University of Maine, posting 39 points (22g-17a) in 136 games, including 22 points (13g-9a) in 36 games during his senior season in 2015-16.
