TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Oilers, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Anaheim Ducks, announced the signing of goaltender Devin Williams for the 2020-21 season.
Williams, 24, returns to Tulsa for a fourth-straight season. The Saginaw, Michigan native has registered a 52-32-11 record with a 2.46 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage through 105 ECHL regular-season appearances. He led the ECHL with a 2.12 goals-against average while his 2.46 career goals-against average ranks 19th all-time in league history.
The 2018-19 season saw Williams make his American Hockey League debut with the San Antonio Rampage, playing in relief in two contests. Williams posted a .938 save percentage and a 1.34 GAA in 45 minutes played.
Williams played one season at Acadia University in Nova Scotia after a five-year junior career with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League. He went 106-47-8 during his time with the Otters, including a 41-10-1 record with a 2.36 goals-against average and .915 save percentage in his final season in 2015-16.
