GREENVILLE, S.C. — Defenseman Tim Davison will be returning to North America, as he has signed a contract with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits for the 2020–21 season.
Davison, 26, will enter his third full professional season. The Green Bay, Wisconsin native spent last season with the Aalborg Pirates in Denmark, and posted 19 points in 46 games.As a rookie with the South Carolina Stingrays in 2018-19, he notched 30 points (4g-26a) in 62 games to lead all Stingrays defensemen, and tying for 14th among ECHL blue-liners.Davison redshirted his freshman year at the University of Wisconsin, and then put together a productive collegiate career from there. In his senior season alone, he won the Jeff Sauer Award, given to the team's "great guy," Wisconsin's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, the UW Academic Momentum award for significant academic improvement in his career, was named a Big Ten All-Academic and was a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award due to his commitment to community and the classroom. In 133 career games with the Badgers, he scored 45 points (9g-36a).Davison played his junior hockey with the United States Hockey League's Chicago Steel where he notched 14 points (6g-8a) in 62 games from 2011-13.
