BOISE, Idaho – Defenseman Jeff King has agreed to terms with the Idaho Steelheads for the 2020-21 season.
King, 24, played in 43 games with the Steelheads during the 2019-20 season, tallying 22 points (6g-16a) to lead all Idaho defensemen.
The St. Clair, Michigan native made his debut with the Steelheads on Oct. 19, 2018 after being acquired from the Fort Wayne Komets via trade. Through 114 games in a Steelheads uniform King has posted 53 points (12g-41a).
Prior to his professional career, King spent four seasons with the Ontario Hockey League's Sarnia Sting, where he posted 131 points (26g-105a) in 250 career games. King enjoyed his best season in his final OHL season in 2016-17, posting 56 points (14g-42a) in 66 games, setting career-highs in all categories.
