ESTERO, Fla. - Florida Everblades General Manager Craig Brush along with Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Brad Ralph announced that the team has agreed to terms with Levko Koper for the 2020-21 season.
Last season with Florida, Koper produced 33 points (10g-23a) in 43 games. He also played with the Everblades during the 2016-17 season, recording eight points (5g-3a) in 13 games before being called up to the American Hockey League's Charlotte Checkers where he tallied 18 points (7g-11a) in 56 games.Koper first broke into professional hockey with the Cincinnati Cyclones in 2016-17 when he recorded three assists in five games after completing his collegiate career at the University of Alberta. Since then, he has played with six different professional hockey clubs in leagues across four countries, including the United States, Germany, Austria and Slovakia.A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Koper was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round (185th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Before going pro, Koper played 140 games at the University of Alberta and 330 games with Spokane of the Western Hockey League, where he was part of the Chiefs' 2008 Memorial Cup championship squad.
