INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Kansas City Mavericks announced the club signed rookie forward Robbie Holmes to a contract for the 2020-21 season.
Holmes, a native of Sherwood Park, Alberta, joins the Mavericks for his first professional season after a major junior career with the Regina Pats and Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League where he posted 114 points (51g-63a) in 231 career games. Last season with Regina, Holmes posted a career-best 48 points (19g-29a) in 57 games. In his five seasons in the WHL, he appeared in 45 playoff games, accumulating 17 points (9g-8a).
